Random Thoughts

(check out that double chinned goodness. This was taken right after we ate thanksgiving dinner.)
*****Edited due to apparent confusion*****
Over on C Janes blog, she did a whole post about her random thoughts as she began the new year. It got me to thinking.....I like random thought and I have a lot of them.

I have a lot of holiday weight.
Not a result of any human growing inside of me.

As per Cardigan Empire's post, I'm going to start dressing well in my present state. My body seems to be a constant state of fluctuation so it does me no good to fret about what doesn't fit me right now, because chances are, it will fit me in a few weeks/month. Although, I did finally move the box of maternity clothes out of my closet and into the garage for storage so I'm hoping that they won't need to fit me for a while....like 6-7 months from now because that is the approximate time table for getting pregnant again.

I want some apple cobbler because I'm going to start dressing well in my current state...that 'state' is not the pregnant state.

Yesterday, when Mr. Will woke up from his nap, I went into get him and he reached up for me. When I picked him up with soothing 'Where's my baby boy?' (or something equally sickeningly sweet that only a little bundle would find enticing), he instantly gave me a nuzzle into my shoulder. For that split second, all that he needed was his mommy. That's a great feeling. And for a split second, I was in heaven. We were there together, just me and him. And then just as was got there, we left. He heard a fun a new sound that sent his neck craning to see where it came from. And just a quickly, he was out of my arms wiggling to his next adventure. But for that split second, all he needed was me.

I'm going to go get my apple cobbler. I really wanted some!

I really wish that I was able to write better. Like so many of the blogs that I follow, I want to be so clever and witty and my readers actually have a hard time figuring out what I said, but when they finally do, it's hilarious or insightful or thought provoking and always original. (for prime examples check C Jane, Cardigan Empire or my friend Kathleen)

One of my new years resolutions is to be a better visiting teacher and dang it, I'm going to be.

This is the best apple cobbler in the world. Actually, to clarify, its apple crisp.

The house is really quiet when all the kids are down for their naps. As much as I really like my alone time (Which Marcus Buckingham says I do need), I really miss hearing the giggles and squeals of games of tag and make believe. I could go without the shrill screams of Audrey not getting her way though. And no, I'm not planning on adding any more children to that mix for a little while longer, but I'll let you all know what I do.

Have you ever noticed that when you think you have your hands on the right keys while typing and you actually don't, you almost never type an actual word? For instance, I was typing the word 'fallin' and it came out gs;;om....not even close.

I'm not the biggest fan of John Meyer (Ahhh blasphemy I know) but every now and then, he has a stroke of genius. And now for more blasphemy, his version of Free Fallin is better than Tom Petty's.

Something got me to thinking about how I would really like to stay in my sweat pants all day and that my husband really wouldn't care. I know him too well. He loves me more today than yesterday regardless of the shower or lack thereof. But I'm going to shower and get myself looking presentable. The purpose for this is 3 fold.....1. I owe it to myself, 2. I'm going to hobby lobby with a friend after naps, 3. I danced last night.

I'm so excited for the dance I get to do to True Colors for my intermediate lyrical class.

I'm thinking of starting a facebook group devoted to this year's priesthood and Relief Society lessons because I feel like there could be some very interesting discussions on the topics. It will also help me keep up with the resolution I made to read them every week.

My other resolution was to spend less time on the computer.....so.....I'm out!

I have so many double chinned pictures of me that I refuse to post. You're a better more confident woman than me.
Thanks for entertaining me while my hubby was gone. Hobby Lobby has such cute fabric! I can't wait to get sewing.
I'm not really a John Meyer fan either.

Does that mean you are pregnant?
