So I watched The Office season finale and first of all, I'm so sad that we all have to wait until Sept 25th for the new season!!!! Too long! Oh well. So, what did you all think about the episode? I think that it might be one of the funniest ones that have been on in a long time. I'm kind of sad to think about all of the story lines and character arcs that we missed out on during the strike. there better not be a SAG strike.
So, I have to say that I'm glad that Toby left Dunder Mifflin Scranton. He is by far my least favorite character and was starting to get a little creepy with all of his pining away for Pam. I wonder how much Jim picked up on with that. Anyway, I'm kind of with Michael as far as the level of excitement goes.
The whole Ryan Jim thing that was going on was awesome and I'm so glad Ryan got what he had coming to him. However, I was surprised to see that he was arrested for fraud and not for drugs. Interesting. I wonder if that will come up in the next season. I'm sure it will.
So Jan's pregnant! What?!? I thought for sure that she was going to tell Michael that it was Hunter in regards to the song that Hunter wrote that was so clearly about Jan. I am going to be kind of a daddy. And P.S. congratulations Michael for potentially screwing up the most promising relationship that will ever come your way. Am I over thinking this all?
I really can't believe that Angela said yes to Andy. That's never going to happen by the way. By the end of the episode I was almost crying because Jim didn't get to propose to Pam. I thought for sure that when we got to last commercial break, it was going to happen during the 'little part' because that would have been perfect. Not many people stick around for the little part so it would have been so covert. Although, I do like what they came up with instead. He He He!
Now, onto my predictions for next season. We cannot have another Office wedding. We spent half of season two planning the wedding that never happened, Phyllis had Pam's dream wedding in season three, so really, I don't think that story line should be played again. So, if The Office writing team were to hire me, my season premier would go like this. We open at Pam and Jim's party celebrating the marriage that took place over the summer then they eloped to Vagas or Mexico or Hawaii. However, as usual, shenanigans and hijinx ensue as Michael and Jan show up and she's preggers, and then the sordid love triangle that is Angela, Andy and Dwight plays out all while Creed is steeling something. Cut to Jim and Pam's co-talking head discussing why they didn't have the wedding in town. They would have had to let Michael walk her down the aisle, Kevin's band would have to play, Kelly would have to be stylist, and Creed would have been steeling something and all would have ruined the wedding. Was eloping and having the subsequent party ruined really that much better? Just my thoughts.
So, if you feel so inclined, share your thoughts with me. What do you think will happen with Jim and Pam when she goes N.Y.? Will they get Ryan on drug possession? Whose going to get the vacant spot at corporate? Will Dwight punch Andy? And seriously, can Michael really stay with Jan?

Dance Class Pictures
We're doing recital pictures this week for the studio so Siobhan had her first recital pictures done. They turned out great! The theme of the recital this year is 'Dancing Across America' so all of the classes represent a state or something Americana. Siobhan's class is 'You're a Grand Old Flag' and their dance is so cute. Here's a few that I took on Monday. And one that Siobhan, our budding photographer, took.

Favorite Things....
Favorite TV Drama: House, M.D. No explanation needed!
Favorite TV Comedy: The Office (And P.S. who is so excited to have it back on the air after the strike? This season has been so awesome and I'm so excited for the Season Finale on Thursday...it's on my calendar)
Favorite Reality Show: Step It Up and Dance (I haven't quite decided if it's the rejects from So You Think You Can Dance or not, but I do think that they challenge the dancers a lot more and put them in more real world situations. I like that aspect a lot! And is hosted by Jesse Spanno-does it get any better than that? My fav is Cody.)
Favorite Movie Drama: The Prestige (We got this from the library a few weeks ago and it's incredible! And Hugh Jackman's so dreamy!)
Favorite Movie Comedy: Juno ('As far as boyfriends go, Paulie Bleeker is totally boss. He is the cheese to my macaroni.')
Favorite Book: The Prestige (It's better than the movie and I loved the movie...so there ya go.)
If you kept reading, you're about to see my absolute favorite list! Take a look....

Mother's Day Weekend (With Pictures of The Kids!)
This weekend was wonderful! It was our first weekend with everyone at home! I'm done rehearsing for a while and last weekend, Carson and Siobhan were in Utah, so this was very monumental!
We decide
d to make the most of it and live it up! We started off with a trip to the Children's Museum and had a blast and then we had lunch at Hard Rock. We got there right after it opened so there weren't a ton of kids running around. We started off at the fire engine (yes Me
redith, it was an engine, not a truck)that they have where Siobhan was able to dress up like a fireman and 'drive' the truck. We heard stories in the Earth Ball, which is a big globe that they inflate and then you go in a hear stories from around the world. We spent time in the younger child area (newborn-4 year
olds) so Audrey could have some freedom and climb around. Then Siobhan got to play with trains, go shopping in the grocery store and climb around in this area that's supposed to be like gopher holes and rabbit holes and stuff. She loves that part. But I'd have to say that her favorit thing
about the day was getting to see Curious George. Yea, the Monkey made a visit and Siobhan had to give him like 5 hugs. And all the rest of the day all we heard was how Siobhan needed her George. So cute!

This morning, I got to sleep in and Carson and the girls made me breakfast. It was great! He got them ready for church and let me have all the time that I wanted to get ready for church. (I'm usually the last one ready so that was a big deal) At church, all the moms got corsages, per tradition and Siobhan was so excited to pick it out. After I had it pinned on, she even told me to take it off of my shirt and put it on hers. Silly! Carson made me a delicious steak dinner and it was lovely. For some reason, on Mother's Day, I always want steak. I got to talk to my grandma and both of my sisters. Molly had a baby boy, Zac, about 3 weeks ago and Meredith had a baby girl, as yet unnamed, last Tuesday. They are great mommys! Again, per tradition we discussed the gifts given at church. That's always fun! Carson's parents sent me a beautiful flower arrangement yesterday and Carson bought me a nice pair sunglasses. You see, I have a tiny head so I always have to get the kids sunglasses that last for about three months in a good year. So he bought me a pair of Ray Bans that fit perfectly and will hopefully stand the test of time.
I wanted to say a little bit about my own mom today. I miss her so much! I can't wait to see her again. I wish so much that she could see my little girls grow up here with me. I kno
w she sees them now and is with them when they need her, and with me. Of course that is a wonderful alternative to not having her here at all, but it would be so wonderful to have her here. Lately Siobhan has been talking about 'a lady in her bedroom'. When she wakes up from her naps, she says 'where my lady go'. I wonder/hope that it might be my mom there checking things out. I hope that I am doing her example justice. I want to be like her so much. I miss you mom and love you!

May Day....Are You Freakin' Kidding Me?!?!?
You would think that on the first day of May, we would have some nice sunny spring weather and be able to play outside and not have to bundle up when we go outside. But....no, we live in Colorado and this is what we woke up to on the First of May.

8am the snow starts to fall...It's MAY!
9am when it starts to stick to the grass
At about 10am in the front yard when it started to stick to the cars and stuff.
By about noon...I think the total was about 3 inches...in MAY! and PS It's supposed to snow this Tuesday!
AAADT-A Dream Come True!
I've been meaning to post about this for a while, but I haven't had a chance to. Back on Apil 5th, Carson
and I went and saw the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater for their 50th anniversary tour. Oh My Gosh! So amazing! If you don't know who they are, you're missing out. The company is made up of mostly African Americans and was started in a time when that wasn't really popular. They do a little of everything from modern to hip hop to ballet to jazz. The cool thing is that while they do have pieces that adhere to only one genre, many of the pieces are a mix of everything which really shows to virtuosity of the company members. Their transistions from one style to the next are seemless thus making the performance more enjoyable. Nothing ruins a performance more than a ballet dancer trying to do modern of hip hop without the skill to back it up.
So you know how everyone has their 'list'? Things to do before they die if you will. Well, cross one off my list. Ever since I heard of Alvin Ailey during my freshman year of college in Bethany Hansen's class, I have wanted to see them. And now I have. The performed three pieces. One called The Golden Section which was choreographed by Twyla Tharp, who I love and respect. It was awesome and so athletic. They did some of the most creative partnering work that I had ever seen up to that point. The second piece was called Episodes by Ulysses Dove. Amazing! It was actually like watching a series of disfunctional relationships. Again, amazing partner work. And finally, the only piece that really cared about seeing is their hallmark piece, Revela
tions. Talk about a spiritual experience. The piece is done to African American spirituals and is based off of Alvin Ailey's own experiences in the Southern Baptist churches that he grew up in. I have to say that it definitely lived up to the hype. If any of you watch Dancing With the Stars, they performed the Tuesday before they came to Denver and they did an excerpt from Revelations. It's funny, I'm not black and have never been to the south, but I can totally relate to the message of the piece. AMAZING!

It's actually the largest free standing building completely dedicated to dance. Talk about my own personal Mecca! They also showed a really cool video about the history of the company, which was only fitting for their 50th anniversary tour!
