Happy Birthday Buddy Boy!

We had Mr. Will's first birthday party on Saturday and it was awesome! We had a rock and roll theme which was a blast. All the girls at the party got t-shirts that said 'Groupie" on then and all the boys got t-shirts that said 'Roadie'. Later on in the party the kids all got to decorate their shirts. We played Beatles Rock Band (thanks Amy and Dave) and in true rock star fashion we spray painted the kids hair. It was super fun!
The kids eating their pizza. Mr. Will enjoyed his milk.

Decorating the T-shirts.

I can't believe the kids sat so well for a group pic. I seriously got like 8 good ones! How often does that happen with kids this age?

Siobhan picked orange for her hair!

Everyone loved Rock Band!

Opening presents. Mr. Will received a Thomas the Train DVD, some bath toys, and a giant train engine. He also got a fun tractor from Dad and Debbie and some Utah Jazz clothing from Grandpa Larry. More picture to come on those!

The Young Sir wasted no time digging into his cake. I've never seen a child go after one like he did!

Grabbing chunks with his hands was apparently not sufficient....he resorted to picking up the whole thing and shoving it in his face!

Ahhhh, satisfied!

On This Day Last Year, Pt. 2

On this day last year, at 12:00 am to be exact, I felt 'something' unlike anything I've ever experienced before. Not really pain, per se, but something uncomfortable.
On this day last year, I relaxed in a warm bath trying my best to make the 'uncomfortable' feeling go away.
On this day last year, at about 3 am, I finally decided that I was, in fact, in labor and had to get to the hospital.
On this day last year, Carson gave me a priesthood blessing assuring me that everything was going to go as planned.
On this day last year, we woke up our friends and dumped two crazy people at their house.
On this day last year, the roads were really icy!
On this day last year, I was hanging from the 'oh crap' handle in the van begging Carson to drive faster as we drove by the closer hospital. He offered to take me there, but I wasn't preregistered, so I had him keep going.
On this day last year, Carson offered to carry me into the hospital at 3:45am. He left the car running in the ambulance bay in order to make sure I was situated with who I should be.
On this day last year, the hospital staff tried to stall me so that my doctor could get there.
On this day last year, I acted like someone in a movie in the throws of heavy labor (picture it.....go ahead).
On this day last year, my doctor arrived at the hospital just in time to catch!
On this day last year, at 4:36 am, a little man named Will joined our family.
On this day last year, our family became one step closer to perfect!

On This Day Last Year Pt. 1

On this day last year, I was still pregnant yet getting close to my due date.

On this day last year, it was unseasonably warm so the girls and I took advantage of the sunshine and played outside. (Well, they played, I sat on the step going out to the backyard)

On this day last year, I spray painted some flower pots black.
On this day last year, I started to change the drawer pulls on the cabinet under the TV. (I still haven't finished, mainly because I'm not sure about them yet.)

On this day last year, Carson bought me a new vacuum cause our old one broke.

On this day last year, I made vegetable soup.

On this day last year Siobhan and Audrey spilled gold fish crackers in the family room which I planned to vacuum up the next day with my new set of wheels.

On this day last year, it started to snow in the evening.

On this day last year, I went to bed earlier than usual. I was REALLY tired. I posted on facebook that I thought I was in early labor, but I really didn't believe it.

On this day last year, I wasn't expecting what happened tomorrow (last year).
