3 Cuties

Today was my postpartem exam at the Ob and I had him take a picture with Mr. Will. It's a tradition that I inadvertantly started when Siobhan was born. I had forgotten to take a picture of her and my doctor in the delivery room so I did it when she was six weeks old. So when Audrey was born, I decided to do the same thing as I did with Mr. Will today. So I though that it would be fun to have a look back at all three pics!
Siobhan and Dr. Layton-He was my OB in Arizona and he was awesome!

Audrey and Dr. G-He has a long name that's hard to spell, so he's just Dr. G. He is awesome. A good replacement for Dr. Layton when I moved.
Dr. G and Mr. Will this morning!
*Is it just me, or did I have triplets 3 1/2 years apart?

Erin Go Brough

We don't ever do a lot for Valentines Day and Easter is always a hit and a miss. But we do have a fun tradition for St. Patricks Day. We have a family leprechaun named Liam who comes to visit while we sleep. He's a little sneaky. He comes in through the window and explores around the house paying particular attention to where we keep the food. And he always leaves footprints. He never takes anything and never makes a mess and he always leaves treats, so we always forgive him. You might remember his antics that I posted about in this post from last year. This year we decided that for family home evening, each of the kids would decorate little buckets for the leprechaun to leave treats in. Then we set them on the windowsill where they would be easy to find.

The cute grils with their buckets from Liam!

We got the buckets from the Target $1 spot and the Leprechaun filled them with all kinds of treats. Peanut butter cups, tootsie rolls, mint 3 musketeers, gum for Siobhan and fun stuffed animals and few other goodies.

We started off the day with green pancakes and green milk...that was after a lot of candy was consumed. I ran out of green food coloring so we had to makeshift with blue and yellow mixed. You can't tell from the pictures, but the pancakes really were green and, of course, shamrock shaped.

Carson's work usually has a pot luck for St. Patricks Day, but I guess that with the declining economy and such, they decided not to this year. So I decided that I would make all of Carson's team miniature Soda Bread loafs. They turned out really cute-all 16 of them! But they turned out to be a big hit, so that was fun. And it was really only two batches and soda bread is pretty easy, so not a whole lot of work.
Once again, I forgot to take pictures of the kids in theif outfits, but they looked really cute. I might do a restaging of the event so I can get a few on them in their green. After naps, I took the kids to Carson's work for Wills big debut and then it was off to Hard Rock-Will's first trip! We had a great night!

What If I'm Not The Hero?...What If I'm the Bad Guy?'

When I first found out the release date fr the Twilight DVD (March 21), it said on the Amazon.com website that the BluRay wasn't coming out until May. Carson told me that I couldn't get the movie until it came out on BluRay becuase he didn't want to buy it twice....I guess that's understandable. So imagine my surprise when I found out that the BluRay is coming out the SAME DAY! Who's day just got better? So were will you be at 12:01 March 21? One guess as to where I will be!

Too Big!

A few nights ago, Audrey grabbed my hoody and brought it to me saying, 'Jacket on.' I put it on and she got mad at me. Then I figured out that she wanted me to put it on her. It was really cute!

I don't knwo why anyone would do this, but if they ever questioned if Carson was the father of my children, I need only show them this picture. Doesn't she look exactly him? Kind of crazy

Cutie!

Further Evidence! He is, in fact, the father!

I Tried To Do Everything Right!

This is going to sound bad so just go with me for a minute. I hate Sundays. I always wake up angry because it means that it's the last day of the weekend and we inevitably didn't get our projects done and it means just a few short hours before Carson has to go to work. I'm also the last one who gets ready for church because I'm always making sure that everyone else is ready so I get limited time in the shower and limited time to do my hair...(although, why do I bother, it never looks the way I want it to) and right now, nothing fits. So I get angry at the fact that I feel like a scrub. I spend a lot of time making the girls look beautiful only to have them do something silly like climb under a blanket thus destroying the complicated hair do that I gave them. And on most days, we're lucky if we make it in during the opening hymn-I hate getting to church late.
So this morning, I woke up deciding that we were going to have a better Sunday than usual. I wouldn't go to church mad and I was going to feel the spirit if it killed me. I set the tone from the get go. We got ourselves ready quickly even it meant that I didn't look as perfect as I would have liked. We drove to church discussing the importance of listening and being still in Sacrament meeting and how we need to remember Jesus and how much we love Him and Him us. We got to church 10 minutes early and I tried to set the example by sitting quietly and listening to the prelude music. Well, the girls were not having it. I was there alone today because we still haven't taken Mr. Will to church so I was playing single mom. As soon as we sat down Audrey was begging to goldfish and Siobhan was running up and down the row. She would not sit down for all the tea in China. They didn't have an crayons to color in their coloring books with as the girls decided to dump them in milk the other day. Skipping through all of the complaints about being hungry and needing a drink of water and you get to the actual sacrament. What should be a spiritual and uplifting experience was the complete opposite. Siobhan spilled 2/3 of the tray of bread and when we got the water, Audrey fell off the chair and broke out into hysterics. At that point, I had two choices....let Audrey cry and destroy the spirit for those around me or take both girls out and cause even more commotion and destroy the spirit for the vast majority of people in the chapel...hmmmm, what do I do, what do I do? There's more, but I won't bore you with the details.
I really don't hate Sundays. I actually really enjoy them for the recharge that I get-spiritual, mental and physical. But sometimes, it's really hard to feel that way. Maybe next week it will be easier. I'm going to buy more crayons!

Happy One Month Birthday Mr. Will....Two Days Late

I can't believe that it's already been an entire month! I hate that time flies when good things are happening. Is that some strange trick of the universe? To make the good times fleeting moments that we barely get to appreciate and the hard times seem to last an eternity only to make the lessons learned that much more ingrained on your psyche? But I digress. It has been a wonderful month! This little boy is such a joy to have in our home. I continually marvel at what a good baby he is and how laid back and chill he is.
His hair is, as usual, a huge talking point with all the new people he meets and as always, a huge source of vanity on my part. If only I could tame that bed head. Never thought you'd hear somebody say that about one month old did ya? With the girls, I could always do a pony or put on a head band when they had bed head....you can't do that with a boy and rightfully so. We let the taussled bed head slide when we're at home, but he usually gets a fouxhawk when we're going out. At least I can admit to the vanity.
He's still not sure if he likes his chewey or not (pacifier). Sometimes I think that he hates becasue he will fight so hard to push it out with his tounge when I put it in his mouth. Other times I find him holding it in his mouth like this (see picture) with his hand wrapped firmly around it. It might also be the style of chewey that's bothering him. I've never used this kind before and I think that he has a hard time keeping it in his mouth.

Mr. Will is getting very good at holding his head up and loves to look at the world around him. I'm pretty sure that he's starting to recognize my voice. The other day at dance a class a friend was holding him and I was sort of standing behind her. He kept craning his head around to find me while I spoke. It was really cute. He's decided that he likes to be fussy towards the end of the night, but it's a small price to pay when he ends up sleeping 6 hours. He's eats very well and is doing awesome on the modified 3-4 hour feeding schedule that we started doing. We went to the doctor on Wednesday and here are his stats:
Weight: 9 lbs 3.5 oz (49%)
Height: 21 inches (49%)
I don't remember his head measurement, but it was the 50%. It doesn't get more average than that does it?)

Just look at that face. I know the hat doesn't match his outfit, but the girls needed to make sure that he wasn't left out while we were playing dress up!

These girls love their baby brother...but it's sure hard to get them to hold still for a picture with him!
