This is how my powder bathroom decorations came to be. And upon the request of Molly, there is a bigger picture of my cabinet decorations.
I found the shelf at the thrift store for $3. It was bright purple so I painted it black. The picture is of a Turkish bath in Bath, England that Carson got a few years and I could never find a frame. Once again, a thrift store purchase painted black. But I decided it wasn't enough...
So I found an old calendar of mine that has a shoe for everyday of the year. So I found a picture that I was cool. Again, it was a thrift store frame and to achieve the 'mat', I painted the cardboard red, very lightly sprayed back over it darken it up and glued the picture on top. But I still felt like it was missing something...

I got the 'M' at Michaels and painted it black and sanded the edges. Now it feels done!
Molly, can you tell any better the things that I put up so far?
And for good measure (and to ensure that I don't totally neglect them) a cute picture of the girls playing together!

Ah yes...the big butterfly...that was from Janet, right? And some things from China. You are getting crafty! Good work Meghan! And the thrift store finds, excellent and the framed shoe, perfect! I think the candle in the hurricane lamp in the bathroom needs to be shorter though, like inside the glass not sticking above. Get out a knife and cut it from the bottom. I am so proud of you! Did you ever put up coat hooks in there?
Fun decorations... I like the powder bath stuff, looks good and creative! So I am trying to get a better look at the stuff on top of your cabinets and I can't tell everything... But I was thinking maybe it is a little crowded, like maybe you could do little groupings of three or something like that. I'm glad you're having fun decorating!
I'm so impressed with your skills!
Ooh, I like your decor as well! Inspiring :) And yes, it was supposed to be a subtle announcement, but I think maybe a little too subtle, so I clarified :) You'll have to tell me how the transition from 2-3 goes, I've heard mixed...right now I would just love some more sleep :)
