I've looked in all the usual places(and some not udual places)...Old Navy, Gap, Children's Place, Gymboree, and I can't find anything. So if anyone has any suggestions, let me know!

Just Puttin' It Out There
Hey there everyone. So Halloween is almost here and I'm putting the finishing touches on the girl's costumes and let me say, they are going to be adorable. Only problem is this, I need a very integral part of Audrey's costume and I can't find it anywhere. She's going to be Audrey Hepburn and I have almost everything. I'm even going to Tiffany's this week to get her a little shopping bag. I have everything but a hat. Okay, maybe it's not integral, but kind of important to me to complete the look. What I'm looking for is a black, maybe felt or wool hat with a wide brim that I can maybe attach a cream colored ribbon around. Something akin to this (but not identical...she is only 15 months old):

OK, just scanned Ebay and unless youw ant to spend at least $30 for anything close which you should not do, how about a french twist and no hat? Still very Audrey!
I LOVE that she's going to be Audrey Hepburn! I can't wait to see the pictures! maybe you could just use an empty cool whip container or whatever would fit her head, cover it with black felt or fabric and make a rim around it and voila a hat! when she goes trick or treating in the dark no one will ever know how cheesy the hat is! Lame i know but it COULD work...now you know why I don't craft.
I like Kristin's idea. Use a piece of cardboard or something for the brim and cover it in felt. Then the ribbon can go around where the two pieces meet to cover the seam, brilliant!
They had a black felt hat with brim (not as wide, but fairly wide) with a red ribbon, which you could replace...at the Gymboree outlet...I don't see it online at the regular site, I think it was last years style...so it would be cheaper, but you'd have to have a gymboree outlet nearby...have you checked amazon.com?
PS you could just use a regular bucket hat (not felt...like a black sun hat for kids) then tie a ribbon...
